Section 2439 of the Antarctic Marine Living Resources Convention holds that:
“Any officer or employee of the United States who is authorized . . . may, in enforcing such provisions . . . offer and pay rewards for services or information which may lead to the apprehension of persons violating such provisions"

Antarctic Marine Living Resources Convention

Awards are now available for anyone who can provide information about a violation of a wildlife protection law. There are currently seven acts, the Lacey Act, Endangered Species, Rhinoceros and Tiger Conservation, Antarctic Conservation, Antarctic Marine Living Resources Convention, Fish and Wildlife Improvement, and Wild Bird Conservation Acts that include provisions granting awards to whistleblowers who report any violations.
