Section 5305a(f) of the Rhinoceros and Tiger Conservation Act holds that:
“Amounts received as penalties, fines, or forfeiture of property under this section shall be used in accordance with section 3375 (d) of this title” [See below]

Section 3375(d), cited to above, holds that:
“Beginning in fiscal year 1983, the Secretary or the Secretary of the Treasury shall pay, from sums received as penalties, fines, or forfeitures of property for any violation of this chapter or any regulation issued hereunder a reward to any person who furnishes information which leads to an arrest, a criminal conviction, civil penalty assessment, or forfeiture of property for any violation of this chapter or any regulation issued hereunder”

Rhinoceros and Tiger Conservation Act

Awards are now available for anyone who can provide information about a violation of a wildlife protection law. There are currently seven acts, the Lacey Act, the Endangered Species Act, the Rhinoceros and Tiger Conservation Act, and the Fish and Wildlife Improvement Act, the Wild Bird Conservation Act, the Antarctic Conservation Act, and the Antarctic Marine Living Resources Convention, that include provisions granting awards to whistleblowers who report any violations.
