Know Your Rights
Laws exist to reward whistleblowers who report illegal wildlife trafficking, logging, fishing and other crimes against wildlife. Numerous laws, including the Lacey Act and the Endangered Species Act, direct the Fish and Wildlife Service, the National Marine Fisheries Service and the Departments of Interior, Commerce, Treasury and Agriculture to pay monetary rewards to persons who disclose original information concerning wildlife crimes that results in a successful enforcement action.
These laws can provide protection and support for whistleblowers around the world who disclose violations of key wildlife protection laws.
There are three things you can do right now:
Every dollar you send helps us build a coalition of support for all whistleblowers
Send a message to the agencies telling them that wildlife whistleblowers need to be protected
Educate yourself on the laws and the need to protect wildlife whistleblowers
